The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Turkey have signed a deal. The UAE will buy weapons, including CIRIT missiles, worth $200 million in Turkey, Sabah cites Turkish Minister for Defense Industry Murat Bayar.
Turkish exports of weapons increased by 35.7% in 2012 to $1.2 billion.
The main purchasers are the US with purchases of components for helicopters for $490 million, UAE with purchases worth $101 million and Saudi Arabia $99 million.
